6 May. Derbent

Our team will meet you at the airport.
We are going to Derbent - the southernmost and one of the oldest cities in Russia.
We will walk along the Naryn-kala citadel and the streets of the Old City. There are a huge number of UNESCO monuments here, an ancient mosque of the 7th century, the oldest in Russia, is one of such monuments.
Evening at the restaurant of national cuisine.

May 7th Kubachi
In the morning we continue to explore the city with an emphasis on its multiculturalism, and then we go to the mountains. By lunchtime we will be in Majalis, where we will get acquainted with the craft of Kaitag embroidery and local culinary traditions.
Then we will take a walk near Kala-Kureishu, the ruins of the ancient capital of Kaitag. A mosque of the 12th century and a mausoleum of medieval rulers have been preserved here (according to legend, they were from the Quraishid clan, that is, relatives of the Prophet Muhammad).
In the pre-sunset time we will reach the famous village of jewelers Kubachi.
Overnight in a guest house created by one of the jewelers.

May 8 Balkhar, Salta, Gotsatl
This day will be long, but full of impressions.
Early in the morning we will go to the Lak village of Balkhar , where we will get acquainted with the peculiarities of the local pottery, and also try the Lak cuisine.
Then we will reach the Avar village of Salta , which during the Caucasian War of the 19th century became famous for withstanding the longest siege by the imperial troops, and now it is known for its beautiful waterfall located in the depths of a narrow picturesque canyon.
After tea in a shady gorge, we will go further - to another village of master jewelers - Gotsatl.

May 9. Karadakh gorge, Sulak canyon, Sarykum
In the morning we will walk around the village, if there is a desire, we will visit one of the jewelers. Then we will go for a walk in the Karadakh gorge.
Then we will reach the observation platforms on the Sulak Canyon.
And at sunset we will have time to see the dune Sarykum.
By the evening we will be in Makhachkala.
Overnight at the Central City 3* hotel.

May 10. Makhachkala and departure
In the morning we will walk around Market No. 2 - the largest farmers' market in the North Caucasus.

Then transfer to the airport.
