The house-museum is located in the depths of the nursery garden, from the bridge an asphalt path leads to it, densely lined with trees. Michurin lived in this house from 1900 to 1935. You can get to it through the small river Lesnoy Voronezh along suspension bridge. Michurin designed the house with a wooden veranda himself. Everything in the house is as it was under Michurin: furniture, photographs, books, tools, watches. Today, all the clocks in the museum show the same time - nine hours thirty minutes, and the date on the wall calendar has not changed for many years: June 7, 1935. Date and time of death of I.V. Michurin.

The city was renamed in honor of Michurin during his lifetime. Michurin State University is still graduating specialists and conducting extensive scientific work.
The development of the city center allows you to plunge into the life of a prosperous district merchant town of the 19th century. Red Square in Kozlov, in the center of which is the Bogolyubsky Cathedral (XIX century). You can easily find the familiar outlines of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in it.
Walk along the street. Sovetskaya, the Bell Tower of Ilyinsky Church, which is visible from anywhere in the city. This is a creation of Italian architects, with its spire it resembles the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg.
Visiting the grave of Michurin, buried on the territory of the collection nursery, opposite the university. There are two bronze branches on a black granite slab: apple trees with fruits - a symbol of what a person has been doing all his life; and a palm branch - a symbol of popular recognition. On the stele behind the tombstone there is a bronze bas-relief of a scientist and the words carved on granite in gold letters, once known to every Soviet schoolchild: “We cannot wait for favors from nature, it is our task to take them from her.”

What did you like
Our trip to Tambov turned out on a very high note. And, above all, thanks to the organizer. Thanks to Tatyana Nikeshina. For all. And now for the points: 1. It is obvious that a tremendous amount of work has been done to select the best in this direction (places, museums, walks, video). Yes, we skimmed the cream. IMHO, this is bullshit. Even for directions. ;-) 2. It is obvious that the same strong selection was in terms of guides and escorts. In each museum, the most important person in this place was waiting for us. And a man of incredible charisma was added to the genius of the place, infecting with his interest, knowledge and other bright qualities. And this is a special pleasure.
3. Logistics. She was thoughtful and clear. By the way, this logistics perfectly connected elevated places (museums and reserves) and earthly, that is, bread. In such a distant outback, it is unmistakable to choose a place for lunch, coffee, a snack - it's worth a lot. I don’t know about others, for me it is no less significant than the brand of the piano in the Rachmaninoff estate.
4. In continuation of the third point and all the previous ones - an excellent choice of hotels. In my previous trip (to Valdai), in principle, it was the same, which means that I conclude that Tatyana is stable in this point . To the hotel (cleanliness, warmth, comfort) we add breakfasts and dinners in it, restaurants in Tambov itself, as well as on the way to protected places, as already mentioned. And here is an undeniable plus. Agree, a good breakfast in a good hotel is the key to a successful day on any trip.
5. And one more important point. People who are going on a trip. I don’t know, maybe I’m so lucky, but in Valdai, and now everyone was very nice. The group is small, almost exclusive, but even in a small team there are usually some disagreements, dissatisfaction or simply inconsistencies - in perception, behavior, etc. In our case, everything turned out very sincerely, provocatively, benevolently. The atmosphere of the Tambov places rhymed in the best way with the mood in our group. And how much humor and laughter was at certain moments, beyond words. In general, I conclude that this is probably the special talent of the organizer in order to work out all these points to the maximum and get the highest rating from the client. Especially from a client who has something to compare - both on trips THERE and on trips HERE.
What to improve?
as usual, the roads that go from the main roads directly to the reserves. I think if Tatyana is entrusted with this, then everything would be much better)
